Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a GP to join our forward thinking & dynamic team within central Brighton & Hove, just a 5 minute walk to the beach.
If you are an experienced GP within general practice or minor illness care provision, we would love to hear from you for an informal chat in the first instance. We are a training practice and support practitioners at all stages of their development so are also open to welcoming newly qualified GPs into our team.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of large and multidisciplinary allied health professional team. Education, research and management will be part of delivering an advanced level service, but your work will be firmly grounded in direct compassionate care provision or clinical work with patients, families and disadvantaged communities. This role also comes with the possibility of joining our brilliant and innovative partnership team.
Clinical sessions involve both face to face and remote appointments and clinicians are encouraged to develop novel ways to manage patients and their care.
You will be expected to participate in training and education of professionals in primary care including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical students, pharmacists, paramedics and physiotherapists, and attend practice-wide educational meetings.
Time is allocated for admin tasks and referrals in recognition of the increased burden on primary care professionals at this time.
Salary will be dependent on experience. We are looking to recruitment a minimum of 0.2 up to 1.0 FTE.

Person Specification
Qualifications/Training
Essential
- A medical practitioner whose name is included in the General Practitioner Register under article 10 of the
- General and Specialist Medical Practice Order 2003.
- Not subject to suspension under section 41A of the
- Medical Act 1983.
- Qualified General Practitioner (completed certificate of
- Completion of Training CCT).
- Currently on a CCG Performers list and not suspended from
- that list or from the medical register.
- DBS clearance.
- Evidence of time-relevant revalidation/appraisal cycle.
Desirable
- Evidence of further postgraduate educational activities in relevant fields
- MRCGP
- DCH
- DRCOG
- F2 supervisor training/teaching diploma
- Evidence of CPD activities
- Minor surgery skill
Experience
Essential
- Recent experience of working in general practice in the UK
- Commitment to and experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary and skill mixed team environment
- Experience of working to achieve standards within the Quality
- and Outcome Framework (QOF)
Desirable
- Evidence of independent working in General Practice
- Experience of supporting service change
- Teaching of GP Reg/F2/Medical students/Clinical Practitioners
- Accredited GP Registrar trainer or F2 Supervisor
- Evidence of participation in QOF
